Digital Public Space and the BBC
The Creative Exchange is collaborating in a series of discussions about the concept of digital public space and its implications for the BBC
Led by Bill Thompson, key thought leaders are being invited to a series of meetings with the aim of exploring the implications of digital public space. The discussion of these ideas relates to considering the future scale and scope of the BBC, as part of Creative Exchange’s exploration of the need for the Internet to support a space for civic engagement and to ensure that the public interest is served online.
The first meeting was held in October, and discussions will continue throughout 2016 to add to the debate in this area and provide recommedations.
