Susannah Haslam

Susannah is a practice-led doctoral researcher at the Royal College of Art, London. Her research considers the shifting and alternative positions, conditions and values of knowledge; its producers and sites of production across self-organised and participatory arts practice and theory and the emergent language and rhetoric of knowledge exchange emerging out of research council bodies and policy.

She organises the JOURNEY/SCHOOL project and AOTCS Press, a nomadic conversation programme and publishing arm. She is a founding member of KIOSK, a practice-based research group in contemporary visual culture. Susannah completed her BA and MA in Art History and Contemporary Art Theory in the Visual Cultures department at Goldsmiths and between 2012 - 2014 was a visiting tutor on the MA in Contemporary Art Theory Lab programme.

Other interests include self-organised structures after new institutionalism; alternative sites of pedagogy; multidimensional experience across physical and digital space; conditions and ethics of working practice in art and research practice.
